My name is Judith Lowdon. My husband, Corey, and I have called Independence "home" for the past 24 years. Our four children were born here. Three of them have graduated from the Independence Public Schools and have successfully gone on to the university and the United States Air Force Academy. The oldest is attending the University of Denver Graduate School Of International Studies. Our fourth child is attending 8th grade at Independence Middle School. Yes, we are very proud of our children and grateful to this "village" called Independence which has supported and helped raise them.
Since I believe so strongly in our community, I am a part of the following organizations:
- Girl Scouts-Bluestem Council
- Main Street Program
- IHS Site Council
- Independence Chamber of Commerce
- Independence Historical Museum
- SEK Kansas State University Catbackers' Association
Because I work hard to do the best job possible as YOUR REALTOR, I belong to the Independence Board of REALTORS and both the Kansas and National Association of REALTORS.
The CRS, Certified Residential Specialist, designation by my name means simply that I've taken additional training and done the work to improve my real estate skills to better serve YOU.
I appreciate your business and will help you in any way I can.

Charm, Character & Gracious Living defined here. This beautiful vintage brick home of the early 1900's was built to last! It features large rooms, big closets, elaborate crown molding, large bay windows, lots of light, french doors, gracefull stairway, high ceilings, thick walls, kitchen dutch door, clean heat, full basement, floored attic (could it have been the ballroom?) & even a working elevator for the 1st & 2nd floors! The front porch begs for furniture, lemonade & relaxation. The back porch is more utilitarian, while the two sun porches offer all sorts of possibilities! The kitchen is very functional with its butler's pantry, desk, bar, & proximity to basement stairs & back stairs to upstairs. It's been suggested that the maid probably lived above the garage where it is floored & plumbing remains. Kids will love the treehouse. There are so many special features in this house, you will just need to see it for yourself! Call today for an appointment. More Info... |
Waterfront lot that's all ready to build on. The Water meter is set. The electric meter is set. It has been surveyed by Cornerstone and the soil samples by Terracom have been taken. All the debris has been removed. It is now ready for your plans or if you would like to discuss some blue prints for a 3 level house that have been drawn up especially for this lot, they could be made available for your convenience. The electricity is with Caney Valley Electric and the trash goes to the Association dumpster. Havana Lake Home Association dues are in the amount of $600 payable on a yearly basis and said dues are paid in full until 12/31/2010. It's a beautiful and tranquil spot for your enjoyment. Total taxes are shown for 2009, however the special tax for sewer of $249.19 is scheduled to expire in 2010. More Info... |
